    AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) is one of the largest physician-led multi-specialty practice in the New York metropolitan area, serving half a million patients across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island. At AdvantageCare Physicians primary and specialty care is coordinated through an integrated network of full-service medical offices, regional specialty referral hubs, urgent care centers and strategic hospital affiliations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island.


     


    Summary of Position



    • Update spend database as required and as requested.

    • Analyze internal procurement data (e.g. transactional operations, customer service).

    • Establish, with Procurement, and monitor vendor SLAs to ensure high level and cost-effective vendor performance.

    • With Procurement establish SLAs, performance criteria for all vendor contracts With the Procurement Business Relationship and Category Manager analyze and research healthcare spend data, industry dynamic, competitiveness and pricing behavior.

    • Undertake ad hoc analysis activities as advised by the COO and VP of Finance.

    Responsibilities

    Category Spend



    • Create and evaluate historical and forecasted data on categories of ACPNY biomedical spend to help formulate category plans.

    • Provide strategic analysis as directed by the needs of the COO, CFO, VP of Finance and Regional Operations Directors to develop category strategies and drive opportunities for Advantage Care Physicians.

    • Acting as a subject matter expert to assess current supply base and oversee analysis and preparation of market reports.

    • Work with Procurement to plan for vendor and category needs and follow Contracting Policy for requirements, contracting and implementation for new and renewal activity.

    • Research and coordinate ACPNY influenza campaign, including vaccine selection, ordering, inventory and product return.

    • Research qualified biomedical suppliers for future opportunities.


    Category Plan



    • With Procurement analyze market forecasts (such as industry dynamics, competitiveness and pricing behavior) and undertaking benchmarking activities.

    • Provide market insights and analysis for categories to support improvements and opportunities.

    • With Finance and procurement conduct commodity analysis for future opportunities.

    • Provide trends in the market to support ACPNY Operations, Clinical Services and Finance with key changes in the business.


    Category Delivery



    • Produce and communicate regular category dashboards to the business and category managers.

    • Provide business and procurement teams with recommended trends to drive opportunities for EmblemHealth.

    • Undertake supplier segmentation analysis based on risk and value, to inform supplier management plans.

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business, or related field.

    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in positions of progressively increasing responsibility, ideally in healthcare.

    • A proven ability to develop and articulate category strategies and have a breadth of category experience in a similar role ideally in healthcare.

    • Experience of procurement environment, managing business improvements projects within a supply chain and purchase environment, ideally in healthcare.
