    Responsibilities

    Job Summary

     

    We are seeking an Ophthalmology trained physician to join us in pursuit of high quality patient care.

     

    The ideal candidate should have:

     

    • 1-3 years clinical experience in an outpatient setting
    • Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Interest in Population Health
    • Glaucoma expertise is highly desired.

    Qualifications

    Responsibilities

     

    • Diagnosis and treat a wide variety of eye disorders
    • Performs routine eye exams and treats eye diseases, such as macular degeneration, cataracts and glaucoma
    • Performs surgical procedures weekly
    • Prescribes medications and formulates ongoing treatment and disease management plans
    • Educate patients about their condition and the treatment plan
    • Refers patient to specialists as needed
    • Maintains patient record

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Medical Degree or foreign equivalent, followed by an additional four years of Ophthalmology residency training.
    • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Ophthalmology
    • Candidate must possess or be eligible for a New York State License
    • Be eligible for DEA registration
    • Be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
    • Pre-employment background check, health physical and drug screening

    • Monday-Wednesday    8:00AM – 6:00PM
    • Thursday                      8:00AM – 8:00PM
    • Friday                           8:00AM – 5:00PM
    • Saturday                       8:00AM – 1:00PM
