    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Emergency Medicine trained physician to join us in pursuit of high quality emergent patient care in our brand new office in East New York, Brooklyn. The Urgent Care Physician plays a key role and is responsible for clinical management of urgent care adult and pediatric patients..

     

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Three to five years clinical experience in an urgent care, emergency department setting or equivalent
    • Demonstrates competency in triage, diagnosis, and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety are maintained.
    • Patient-centered approach toward a positive customer experience
    • Ability to treat adult and pediatric urgent medical conditions
    • Ability to treat adult and pediatric minor traumatic injuries
    • Interest in popuation Health Management 
    • Excellent communication skills

     

     

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Provides quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care. Review all test results, prescribes medications, formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans including but not limited to, preventive health recommendations and habits.
    • Provides clinical care at the urgent care center treating both adult and pediatric patients
    • Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient’s psychosocial and physical needs.
    • Collecst, records, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results. Ensure accuracy of coding and patient medical records.
    • Collaborates with the urgent care center’s Medical Director, Advanced Practice Clinician, Nurses, Care Team Associates 1 and ancillary support staff.
    • Physician will hold oversight for the clinical urgent care team
    • Ensures development and implementation of appropriate clinical protocols
    • Participates in quality management activities
    • Maintains outstanding urgent care patient satisfaction scores
    • Collaborates with the operations team to resolve patient care complaints and grievances
    • Participates in medical staff educational programs and meetings as may be required. 
    • Attends Medical Staff Meetings

     

     

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    Qualifications: Education & Experience

     

    • Medical Degree
    • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
    • BLS Certification
    • Advanced certifications – ACLS, PALS
    • Must possess current, unrestricted New York State license or be eligible for licensure.
    • Must possess a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration
    • Must possess Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
    • Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
    • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office. 

     

    Medical Office Hours of Operation

     

    8:00 am – 8:00 pm, 3 x 12 hour shifts per week.  (Provider is required to work every other weekend).
